Netanyahu Clashes with Katz as Disputes Escalate
According too the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al mayadeen, the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper revealed that disputes between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz have intensified due to posts Katz published on social media.
Katz’s posts concerning the complete destruction of Hamas tunnels and Tel Aviv’s strong opposition to the establishment of a Palestinian state have angered Netanyahu. The prime minister prefers that strategic decisions of the Israeli regime not be publicly disclosed in such forums.
earlier, tensions had also arisen between them over selecting a new military prosecutor for the regime.
Netanyahu previously had conflicts with former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, wich led to Gallant’s removal from office in 2024. The prime minister has also clashed with former Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar.
