The “Coordination Framework” Declares Itself the Majority Faction in Iraq’s Parliament

The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, reported that the Coordination Framework of Shiite groups in Iraq emphasized the need to conclude electoral rights within the constitutional timelines.
The coalition also stated that “inclusive national cooperation” is essential to overcome the current phase and consolidate political stability in Iraq.
Further, the Coordination Framework identified itself as “the largest bloc in the new Iraqi Parliament” and announced its intention to nominate a candidate for prime minister for the upcoming term.
The coalition decided to establish two committees: one to review national rights and another to conduct interviews with prime ministerial candidates.
