Erdogan Calls for Resuming Ukraine Negotiations

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held talks today, Wednesday, with Ukrainian President Volodymyr zelensky in Ankara. Erdoğan stated, “I discussed ways to end the war in Ukraine with Zelensky.”
The Turkish president added, “The istanbul negotiations must be resumed to reach diplomatic solutions regarding Ukraine. We reaffirm our commitment to the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence of our strategic partner Ukraine.”
Erdoğan further said, “We are ready to engage with Russia on proposals that would accelerate a ceasefire and pave the way for peace. We place great importance on the involvement of our ally-the united States-in this process. Today we also emphasized the necessity of continuing the Istanbul process with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach.”
