Erdogan Calls for Resuming Ukraine Negotiations

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, Turkish President Recep​ Tayyip Erdoğan held talks today, Wednesday, with Ukrainian⁢ President Volodymyr zelensky in Ankara. Erdoğan stated, “I discussed ways to⁤ end the war in Ukraine with Zelensky.”

The Turkish president added, “The istanbul negotiations must be resumed to ⁣reach diplomatic solutions regarding Ukraine. We‍ reaffirm our commitment to the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence ​of our strategic partner Ukraine.”

Erdoğan further said, “We⁢ are ready to engage with Russia on ‌proposals that would accelerate a ceasefire and pave‍ the way for peace. We place great importance on ​the​ involvement of our ‍ally-the united ⁣States-in this process. Today we also emphasized ​the necessity of continuing the Istanbul process ⁢with a pragmatic⁤ and⁢ results-oriented⁣ approach.”
