India Decides to Purchase Su-57 Fighters and S-500 Air Defense Systems from Russia

Bloomberg reports that India plans to negotiate with Russia on purchasing su-57 fighter jets and S-500 air defence systems during President Putin’s visit to the country.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Bloomberg, India intends to initiate talks with Moscow on acquiring su-57 fighter jets and the S-500 missile defense system during Russian President Vladimir Putin’s trip to New Delhi.
These negotiations are set to proceed despite pressure from the Trump administration aimed at reducing India’s defense ties with russia.
India and Russia have maintained a longstanding strategic partnership, with Moscow remaining India’s largest arms supplier.
Faced with a shortage of combat aircraft, Indian officials note that maintaining Russian jets is easier, while the long-range missiles equipped on Su-57s would significantly enhance their capabilities.
