Israeli Army Continues Attacks on South Lebanon Amid Pope’s Visit

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Lebanon’s Al-Ahed news outlet, Israeli forces intensified their aggression against Lebanon by firing bullets and throwing stun grenades, flares, and incendiary devices at several villages and surrounding areas in the south.
The report states that the Rweisat al-Alam base near the village of Kfar Shuba was repeatedly targeted with gunfire.
At the al-Jardah base, Israeli forces opened heavy fire around the village of al-Dheireh.
An Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade over Maroun al-Ras village, while other drones deployed similar grenades close to fishermen near Ras Naqoura.
Another drone targeted a drilling rig in the Wastani neighborhood of Shebaa village. Meanwhile,Israeli troops fired flares toward Wadi muzlim near Beit Lif. Surveillance flights and drone activity over the area continued simultaneously.
The Israeli army also used incendiary grenades between Beit Lif and Ramya villages. Near Yaron village, flare grenades were launched as well.
Earlier reports indicated that areas around Aitaroun were subjected to automatic weapons fire and search operations by Israeli forces.
Despite one year having passed since a ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, this regime continues to exploit it by targeting civilians with attacks launched from newly established military positions in southern Lebanon.
