Netanyahu’s Office Claims Economic Talks with Lebanon

The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claims he has ordered an Israeli delegation to meet with Lebanese government officials to discuss strengthening economic ties. This announcement comes as Lebanon designates a representative for ceasefire monitoring talks.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Benjamin Netanyahu’s office has stated that the Prime Minister has directed an Israeli delegation to meet with Lebanese government officials. The purported aim of this meeting is to explore ways to bolster economic relations between the two sides.

Lebanon’s presidential office announced that President Joseph Aoun has appointed Simon Karam, the former Lebanese ambassador to Washington, as the country’s representative to the committee overseeing the ceasefire.

The committee, tasked with monitoring the ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel, is scheduled to convene in Naqoura, southern Lebanon. The meeting will include participation from US representative Morgan Ortagus, along with Yuri Reisman, a member of Israel’s internal security council.
