Maduro Defiant: “No Empire Will Silence Us”
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro has asserted that Venezuela stands strong and will not be silenced by any imperial power.
Maduro expressed his gratitude for the global solidarity shown towards Venezuela during the International Day of Solidarity, in response to what he describes as U.S. aggression.
His remarks followed protests in front of the White House on Saturday night, where demonstrators condemned the possibility of U.S. military intervention in Venezuela.
Donald Trump, President of the United States, recently commented on alleged cartel activity in Venezuela, stating that a ground assault on drug trafficking could commence soon.
President Trump added that engagement with Venezuela has moved beyond mere pressure and that he informed Maduro of certain actions during a brief conversation.
