Israeli Airstrikes Target Southern and Eastern Lebanon

Israeli forces have conducted airstrikes in southern and eastern Lebanon, violating the ceasefire agreement, according to reports. The attacks targeted multiple areas, including the Litani River region and near Beirut.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli airstrikes have targeted southern and eastern Lebanon, marking a continuation of ceasefire violations. The attacks have affected various locations including Al-Jabour, Al-Qatrani, Al-Rihan, Wadi al-Qasir, Deir Siryan, the heights of Iqlim al-Tuffah, and the plains around the Litani River in the town of Zoutar.

Local sources reported additional airstrikes on the heights of Bouday and Hermel in the Beqaa Valley, as well as the Jurdiyah area in Baalbek al-Hermel, eastern Lebanon. The sources indicated that the range of reconnaissance drones from the occupying army has extended to Beirut, the capital city.

A vehicle in the town of Taybeh, Marjayoun district, southern Lebanon, was also hit by an Israeli drone strike. The Israeli military claimed the attack targeted a Hezbollah operative. Al-Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that the strike in Taybeh occurred close to residential areas and on a critical road.

The Israeli military, in line with its standard practice, justified its aggressive actions by claiming to have targeted Hezbollah military centers and infrastructure, including missile and rocket launch platforms, across different parts of the country.

Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri responded to the airstrikes, stating that they send a negative message from Israel to the upcoming Paris conference intended to support the Lebanese army.
