Spain Calls for Restraint Between Venezuela and the United States Amid Rising Tensions

Spain has urged Venezuela and the United States to exercise restraint and reduce tensions, offering to mediate diplomatically, while Venezuela’s Attorney General condemned the alleged abduction of President Nicolás Maduro and called for international intervention.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Spain‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement calling for de-escalation and restraint between Caracas and Washington. Madrid expressed its readiness to utilize its diplomatic capabilities to facilitate a peaceful, negotiated resolution to the current crisis.

Meanwhile, Venezuela’s Attorney General, Tarek Saab, condemned what he described as the abduction of President Nicolás Maduro and demanded his immediate release. Saab held the U.S. government responsible for Maduro’s safety and that of his wife, calling on Venezuelan authorities to document alleged human rights violations by the U.S. and urging the United Nations and human rights organizations to intervene.
