Israeli Drone Strike in Southern Lebanon Kills Lebanese Civilian

The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that a Lebanese citizen was killed following an Israeli drone strike targeting a civilian vehicle in the southern town of al-Tayr, marking yet another breach of the existing ceasefire agreement.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Lebanese Ministry of Health has announced the martyrdom of a Lebanese citizen resulting from an Israeli regime drone strike on a civilian vehicle in the town of al-Tayr, located in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army forces were also reported to have illuminated the airspace over Ras al-Naqoura with illumination flares, according to data published by Mehr News Agency. Furthermore, Israeli forces shelled the peripheries of the towns of Markaba, al-Labouneh, and Maroun al-Ras.

Direct fire targeted the vicinity of the town of Alma al-Sha’b. Israeli aircraft also dropped two bombs onto heavy machinery situated in the town of Aita al-Sha’b. This aggressive activity persists despite the commitment of the Lebanese Army, government, and the Resistance to the current ceasefire.

The Israeli regime, however, is consistently violating this truce on a near-daily basis and reportedly pays no heed to regional and international calls for a cessation of these aggressions. The ceasefire between the Israeli regime and Lebanon was formally signed on the 28th of November 2024.

These continuous aggressive actions by the Israeli regime over the past approximately one year and three months have resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of Lebanese citizens.
