Zionist Author Assesses Israeli Policies as Empowering Hamas

A prominent Zionist writer has declared Israel’s policies towards Hamas a failure, asserting that these strategies have inadvertently strengthened the Palestinian movement rather than weakening it. The author points to repeated unfulfilled promises by Prime Minister Netanyahu and strategic missteps that have emboldened Hamas.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Zionist writer Ben Caspit, in a report published by the Hebrew website Walla, has described the policies of the Israeli regime regarding the Hamas movement as failures. He acknowledged that these policies have not only failed to weaken Hamas but have instead led to its strengthening.

Caspit specified that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has consistently demonstrated lower levels of performance while repeating his unsuccessful promises. Referring to the October 7th attack, Caspit stated that Hamas forces exploited the intelligence weaknesses and complacency of Tel Aviv.

The Zionist author believes that Netanyahu is incapable of erasing the current shame and disgrace and will not accept his responsibilities. He highlighted Netanyahu’s unfulfilled promises regarding the overthrow of Hamas, fabricated protocols, outright lies, and a conspiracy delusion, asserting that Netanyahu has placed the Israeli regime at the brink of collapse.

Caspit added that Netanyahu previously focused on overthrowing Hamas, but then changed his strategic objective, and ultimately, Tel Aviv faces a stronger, more determined, and better-armed Hamas each time. He cited the failed 2014 war as an example of Hamas’s success in exploiting Israel’s vulnerabilities.

He described Hamas as a skilled, trained, armed, and determined army possessing various branches, brigades, and battalions. This army utilizes modern communication devices, is adept at maintaining communication security, and its elements are proficient in shooting, taking cover, and attacking. Caspit also pointed to Hamas’s advanced tunnel construction capabilities, noting that the organization manufactures weapons, stockpiles its rockets, and hides mortars.

Caspit emphasized that the Israeli regime is witnessing the fruits of its mistakes from previous wars, as it failed to disarm Hamas or inflict blows that would prevent its return to its original trajectory. He noted that assassinating Hamas commanders will also be fruitless, as the movement consistently replaces fallen commanders with new individuals.

Ultimately, the Zionist writer, referring to 17 operations conducted by the Israeli army against Hamas since 2006, acknowledged that the result of these operations has been Hamas becoming incredibly stronger.
