Russia Claims Control of New Areas, Destroys Dozens of Ukrainian Drones

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Ministry of Defense has announced the liberation of the town of Krasnoznamenka in the Dnipropetrovsk region by the country’s armed forces. The ministry also stated that 95 Ukrainian drones were destroyed over Ukraine during the past night.
According to a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 2,480 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in the past week. The military institution also reported that a total of 2,041 Ukrainian drones were shot down during the past week.
It is worth noting that on February 21, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin, while criticizing the West’s disregard for Moscow’s security concerns, recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics in the Donbas region. Three days later, on Thursday, February 24, Putin launched what he termed a “special military operation” against Ukraine, leading to a military confrontation between Moscow and Kyiv.
In response to Russia’s actions, the United States and Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions against Moscow and have sent billions of dollars worth of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine.
