ElBaradei Criticizes Trump’s Efforts to Claim Diplomatic Wins, Citing Past Devastation

Former IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei has criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s attempts to portray his administration’s dealings with Iran as superior to previous agreements, amidst ongoing global economic fallout and lingering devastation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Russia Today, former International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Mohamed ElBaradei emphasized that the current situation represents a return to past conditions following terrible bloodshed, devastation, and severe damage to the global economy.

He criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s desperate efforts to suggest that his agreement with Iran is superior to the one negotiated under the Obama administration.

It is worth noting that Trump has repeatedly announced that a deal with Iran is imminent, aiming to alleviate media, psychological, and economic pressures of instigating war against the nation and preventing the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
