Armenia’s Civil Contract Party Secures Majority in Parliamentary Elections

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the ruling Civil Contract party, led by current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, has secured 49.7% of the votes in the parliamentary elections held on June 7. These final results were announced by the Central Election Commission of Armenia, as reported by Mehr News Agency, citing RIA Novosti.

The announcement of the final results from the Central Election Commission means that Nikol Pashinyan is now positioned to form a new government on his own. The election on June 7 saw a participation rate of 58.97%.

Other parties also garnered significant votes: the “I Have Honor” bloc received 23.27% of the ballots, and the “Armenia Alliance” secured 9.92%. Representatives from these parties, along with those from the Civil Contract party, will be entering the Armenian Parliament.
