Qatar and France Foreign Ministers Discuss Iran-US Understanding

The Foreign Ministers of Qatar and France held a phone call to discuss the recent understanding between Iran and the United States, as well as the latest developments in Lebanon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, conferred with his French counterpart. The discussion, as reported by Qatar News Agency via Mehr News Agency, involved Jean-Noël Barrot, the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.

During their telephone consultation, the two ministers deliberated on the Iran-US understanding and the prevailing situation in Lebanon. They also reviewed bilateral relations and avenues for enhancing cooperation between Qatar and France.

Furthermore, the conversation encompassed regional developments, with a specific focus on the situation in Lebanon. Both sides exchanged views on diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting security and stability in the region following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Other matters of mutual interest were also addressed.
