Israel Claims Operational Control of Hadath in Southern Lebanon Amidst Escalating Attacks

The Israeli army has claimed operational control over Hadath in southern Lebanon, alleging it was a hub for Hezbollah activities, while Beirut insists a prior agreement mandates Israeli withdrawal from the region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli army has asserted it has taken operational control of the Hadath region in southern Lebanon. This claim was reported by Al-Nassra news agency, citing data published by Mehr News Agency.

The Israeli military reiterated its usual narrative, making unsubstantiated claims about Hezbollah’s actions. They stated that Hadath served as a center for Hezbollah’s operations and that over 90 points and infrastructure within the area were targeted.

Furthermore, a correspondent for Al Mayadeen network reported an explosion in the city of Bint Jbeil, which was attributed to the Israeli occupation forces.

This development occurs despite the Lebanese government, described as Western-aligned, maintaining that a “disgraceful agreement” with the Israeli regime will lead to an Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon.
