Tanker Suffers Damage and Fire After Projectile Strike Off Oman Coast

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) organization has reported a maritime incident off the coast of Oman. The UKMTO confirmed it received a report concerning an incident occurring eight nautical miles east of the ‘Lima’ area in Oman.

The organization stated that a tanker, en route southward, reported being struck by a projectile, which resulted in a fire aboard the vessel. The UKMTO has advised ships transiting the area to exercise caution and to report any suspicious activities.
