Drone Strike Hits Erbil Base, Sulaymaniyah Flights Halted

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, recent drone attacks have targeted the city of Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Local sources indicated that the Al-Harir military base, which hosts U.S. forces in northern Iraq, was the subject of this latest strike.
Details regarding any potential casualties or damage resulting from this attack have not yet been disclosed. Concurrently, Iraqi media outlets have reported the suspension of all flights at Sulaymaniyah International Airport until further notice.
Previously, Iraqi sources had reported intense explosions in Erbil following drone attacks in the Kurdistan Region. These sources also reported the activation of the Patriot missile defense system deployed at the U.S. base in Erbil.
It is noteworthy that on Friday, eight people were killed and several others injured in a missile attack by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targeting the Komala Party, a separatist group in Sulaymaniyah, Iraq. Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in Sulaymaniyah reported that Iran’s operations to target the positions of separatist groups in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq have been ongoing for three days.
