Lebanese President to Visit Saudi Arabia Following Crown Prince Call

Lebanese President Michel Aoun is set to visit Saudi Arabia following a recent phone conversation with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which regional developments and Saudi support for Lebanon were discussed.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Lebanese presidency has announced that a recent phone call took place between Lebanese President Michel Aoun and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. During the discussion, the latest developments in Lebanon and the region were addressed. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reiterated Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting Lebanon during its current circumstances and endorsed the options President Aoun is pursuing to safeguard Lebanon’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

The office of President Aoun stated that the Saudi Crown Prince reaffirmed his country’s resolve to “assist in all areas needed by Lebanon, within the framework of priorities determined by the Lebanese government.” Additionally, Mohammed bin Salman extended an invitation to President Aoun to visit Saudi Arabia for discussions on all matters of mutual interest between the two nations.

In the conversation, Michel Aoun expressed gratitude to Mohammed bin Salman for his “supportive stances towards Lebanon and the measures taken to aid the country and strengthen its economy.” He also appreciated the invitation to visit Saudi Arabia, confirming his intention to accept it.
