Russia Responds to U.S. Secretary of State’s Accusations Against Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, responded to allegations made by the U.S. Secretary of State regarding Iran’s seriousness in negotiations. Zakharova stated, “Initially, partners are accused of unwillingness to negotiate, and then it is admitted that this was necessary in preparation for war.”

The remarks come after U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during the ASEAN summit, claimed that Washington is prepared for dialogue, negotiation, and dispute resolution in West Asia, but that Iran is not serious in the negotiation process.

This assertion by the U.S. comes despite the fact that American aggression against Iran occurred amid Tehran’s negotiations with Washington, suggesting that these talks may have been a cover for preparations for war.
