CENTCOM claimed that military targets, including naval capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and air defense systems in Iran, were targeted during this round of attacks. The command asserted that these strikes were conducted with the aim of reducing Iran’s ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial vessels.
The U.S. military alleged that American forces have attacked dozens of Iranian military targets on land this month, simultaneously resuming a maritime blockade against Iranian ports.
