Lebanese Return to Devastated Zawtar Gharbi Amid Unimaginable Destruction

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese citizens are returning to the Zawtar Gharbi region in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, for the second consecutive time, following the deployment of army forces in the area since Tuesday. The Lebanese army soldiers are supervising the return of citizens to their homes, which have been devastated by attacks from the Zionist regime.

Officials in Zawtar Gharbi have declared the region virtually destroyed, stating that the scale of devastation resulting from the brutal transgressions of the Zionist regime is unimaginable. They added that 60 percent of residential homes in the area have been completely obliterated, while the remaining 40 percent have suffered severe damage. Roads, water, and electricity networks have been heavily impacted, and no services are currently operational in the region.

Under an agreement signed between the Western-aligned government in Beirut and the Zionist regime, Lebanese army forces have been stationed in the areas of Froun, Sarba, and Zawtar Gharbi. This deployment comes despite these areas not having been occupied by the Zionist regime, a move seen as largely symbolic.
