Netanyahu to Meet Trump This Week to Discuss Iran
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has announced an upcoming meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump to address current affairs, with a particular focus on Iran. Netanyahu stated that the meeting will take place this week.
Regarding the West Bank, Netanyahu confirmed an escalation of repressive measures against Palestinians. He issued orders for forces to enter West Bank villages to conduct extensive searches, confiscate weapons, and apprehend suspects. “We are prepared to act more extensively against terrorist groups,” Netanyahu claimed.
The Israeli Prime Minister also asserted that the International Criminal Court poses a threat to global justice. He further stated that he would travel to Washington D.C. the following day to meet with President Trump and attend a memorial ceremony for Senator Lindsey Graham, whom he described as a friend of Israel.
This announcement follows earlier reports from the Israeli military radio, which indicated that Netanyahu would travel to Washington to discuss the Iran issue with President Trump. Netanyahu’s office had previously stated that the meeting with the U.S. President at the White House was scheduled for Tuesday. A statement from Netanyahu’s office clarified that he would meet Trump on Tuesday and attend Lindsey Graham’s funeral on Wednesday, departing Tel Aviv for Washington on Monday.
