Iraqi Prime Minister Meets Lebanese Counterpart to Discuss Regional Developments

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi met with his Lebanese counterpart, Nawaf Salam, in Baghdad on Sunday to discuss enhancing bilateral ties, expanding economic partnership between the two countries, and the latest regional developments. This information is based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Anadolu Agency.

According to a statement from the Iraqi Prime Minister’s media office, Al-Zaidi welcomed Salam and his accompanying ministerial delegation to the government palace shortly after the Lebanese Prime Minister’s arrival in the Iraqi capital for an official visit.

The statement indicated that the two prime ministers held a bilateral meeting to deliberate on bilateral relations, economic cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon, and developments across the region.

The National News Agency of Lebanon reported that prior to this meeting, Salam, leading a delegation of ministers including Yassine Jaber, the Minister of Finance, Joe Saadé, the Minister of Energy and Water, and the Minister of Telecommunications, had arrived in Baghdad. He was welcomed at Baghdad International Airport by Iraq’s Minister of Finance, Faleh Al-Sarraj, where an official reception ceremony was held.
