Over 390 Ukrainian Drones Thwarted in Moscow Skies, Officials Report

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mehr News Agency, citing Agence France-Presse, reported that the Mayor of Russia’s capital stated on Tuesday, hours before Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, that over 390 drones had targeted the Moscow region throughout the night.

Sergei Sobyanin announced, “Between 8:30 PM (17:30 GMT) and 6:30 AM, over 390 drones were flying towards the Moscow region. Most of them were neutralized by air defense forces before reaching the city. Eighty-one enemy drones were destroyed as they approached Moscow.”

However, the Russian Ministry of Defense later reported that a total of 356 Ukrainian drones had been shot down across more than a dozen regions, including near the capital.

Neither the Ministry of Defense nor Sobyanin offered an explanation for the discrepancy.

Andrei Vorobyov, the regional governor of Moscow, also reported that drone attacks had damaged residential buildings in the city of Chekhov and the village of Vолово.

Ukraine has intensified its long-range strikes on Russian energy, logistics, and military sites, and sometimes residential areas.
