Zelensky Seeks 300 Patriot Interceptors from Trump Ahead of Winter

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated in an interview with Axios on Wednesday that he has requested a package of 300 Patriot interceptor missiles from U.S. President Donald Trump before next winter. Zelensky added that Trump is unable to commit to this agreement due to depleted U.S. interceptor missile reserves, which he attributed to the war in Iran. However, Zelensky noted that Trump has agreed to proceed with granting Ukraine licenses for Patriot production. The Ukrainian President claimed that his relationship with Trump has become much better and more constructive, attributing this shift to Ukraine’s recent successes in the war against Russia. He informed the news outlet that U.S. special envoys Jared Kushner and Steve Wittcoff are likely to visit Ukraine within the next two weeks to negotiate the resumption of peace talks.
