Lebanese President and Parliament Speaker Discuss Israeli Aggression Amidst Southern Border Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun received Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri at the Baabda Palace on Tuesday morning. The discussions focused on the internal and regional situation, particularly the ongoing Israeli aggressions against villages and towns in southern Lebanon. These aggressions include the detonation and destruction of homes, prompting urgent consultations on the necessity of halting these hostile actions.
President Aoun briefed Speaker Berri on the results of his recent trip to the United States and the meetings held with American officials, notably including U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Upon exiting the palace, Speaker Berri stated that he discussed President Aoun’s visit to Washington and the situation in the south. He expressed his continued satisfaction with their meetings.
