Nearly 5 Million Pilgrims Enter Iraq for Arbaeen Observance

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq’s security information unit announced today, Sunday, that the number of individuals who entered Iraq from abroad for the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (AS) through various border crossings and airports has exceeded 4.4 million people. This information was published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Sumaria. The Iraqi security information unit also indicated the continued smooth movement of pilgrims towards the holy province of Karbala.
The security information unit emphasized that the special security plan to ensure the safety of the Arbaeen pilgrimage is proceeding as planned with high flexibility, and no security breaches have been recorded. The unit further praised the high level of coordination among military, intelligence, and service organizations to ensure the pilgrims’ security.
