Russia Strikes Ukrainian Arms Shipments in Black Sea and Mykolaiv

Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced precision strikes targeting four Ukrainian commercial vessels in the Black Sea and Mykolaiv port, which were allegedly transporting military equipment to Kyiv. The ministry also reported downing 131 Ukrainian drones overnight.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Ministry of Defense stated that its forces carried out precise strikes last night, targeting three commercial vessels in the Black Sea and one vessel in the port of Mykolaiv, which were reportedly en route to supply Kyiv with military equipment. The statement indicated that Russian armed forces are continuing their operations against Ukraine’s transportation infrastructure designated for its military forces.

In this operation, three commercial ships in the Black Sea, carrying military cargo including weapons, ammunition, and equipment, were targeted. Additionally, a fourth commercial vessel in the port of Mykolaiv, which was in the process of unloading and transferring military supplies for Ukrainian forces, was struck.

Separately, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 131 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight across southwestern regions of the country. The ministry’s statement specified that these drones were neutralized in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Smolensk, and Tula provinces, as well as the Krasnodar region, the Republic of Crimea, and the Black Sea.

In a related incident, Alexander Avdeyev, the governor of the Vladimir region in northwestern Russia, announced that a Ukrainian drone targeted a warehouse in the “Sobinsky” district of the region, resulting in material damage and a fire at the site. Ukraine is reportedly conducting daily drone and missile attacks on southwestern Russian territories.
