Qatar Urges International Pressure on Israel to Implement Gaza Ceasefire Deal

Qatar has called for intensified international pressure on Israel to fulfill its commitments under a Gaza ceasefire agreement, asserting that Hamas has fully adhered to its obligations. The plea comes as the international community awaits Israel’s official stance on a proposed roadmap for the next phase of the ceasefire.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Qatar on Tuesday urged concerted international pressure on Israel to implement its commitments under a Gaza ceasefire agreement, stating that Hamas has fulfilled all its obligations under the deal.

Majed Al-Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced at a press conference in Doha that Hamas had adhered to all expected actions under the proposed roadmap. “We call on the international community to pressure Israel to implement this agreement so that we can ultimately move towards the reconstruction of Gaza,” Al-Ansari stated.

This request follows an announcement on Friday by the peace delegation and Donald Trump, the current President of the United States, indicating that Hamas had agreed to a roadmap for the next phase of the Gaza ceasefire. Israel, however, has not yet issued an official statement on its position.

Qatar, alongside Egypt and Turkey, has been actively mediating efforts to secure the implementation of this agreement.

Since October 2023, Israel’s military operations in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of over 73,000 people and wounded more than 174,000 others. Despite a ceasefire agreement that came into effect on October 10, 2025, Israel has continued its attacks across the besieged territory, killing 1,252 Palestinians and injuring 4,120, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
