Indian Ship Sinks Near Yemen Waters After Projectile Strike; Crew Rescued

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an Indian vessel sank in proximity to Yemeni waters following a projectile impact, as reported by Mehr News Agency citing Al Jazeera. Sarbananda Sonowal, India’s Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, confirmed the incident.

Sonowal stated that all 14 individuals aboard the ship, comprising 13 Indian nationals and one other, were successfully rescued by the Yemeni coast guard.

In a post on X, Sonowal announced, “I have directed the Director General of the Shipping Department to coordinate with all agencies and take immediate actions to ensure the absolute safety of Indian seafarers in the region and provide all necessary assistance to the rescued crew.”
