Hormuz Strait Shipping Disruption Persists, Kepler Reports

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kepler, a company specializing in maritime data analysis, has reported that the disruption to shipping traffic in the Strait of Hormuz continues. Data released by Mehr News Agency, citing Reuters, indicates that the movement of cargo ships through the strait showed no significant change yesterday compared to Monday.

The report detailed that only eight vessels, comprising five oil tankers and three cargo ships, transited the Strait of Hormuz over the past day. The same number was recorded on Monday.

This comes in stark contrast to the usual daily average of 140 ships that transit the Strait of Hormuz before the commencement of U.S. aggressions against Iran. The low transit numbers highlight the ongoing impact of regional tensions on maritime commerce.

U.S. President Donald Trump suggested today that the Strait of Hormuz might reopen within the next day or two, an apparent move to alleviate pressure from rising global prices and public opinion.
