Lebanon-Israel Negotiations Conclude in Rome Amidst Border Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the seventh round of negotiations between the Lebanese government and the Israeli regime has concluded in the Italian capital, Rome.

Media reports indicate that Lebanon‘s delegation in the Rome talks called for Israel’s withdrawal from towns and villages occupied since last March.

Both sides also discussed the implementation of a plan referred to as a “test zone” and the withdrawal of occupation forces from at least three villages as part of this initiative. Sources familiar with the matter stated that the method of controlling the Al-Tahir heights in southern Lebanon remains one of the key points of contention between the two parties during the negotiations.

Concurrently with the ongoing direct talks with Lebanon in Rome, the Israeli regime carried out several airstrikes on two towns in southern Lebanon on Wednesday evening. The Israeli army also reported the deaths of two of its soldiers in southern Lebanon on Thursday.
