Gaza Stalemate: 1,254 Palestinians Killed Since Truce, Aid Entry Severely Limited
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by the Palestinian Information Center, as reported by the Mehr News Agency, indicates that continuous attacks and aggressions by the occupying forces in Gaza since the beginning of the truce have resulted in the martyrdom of 1,254 Palestinians and injured 4,121 others. Israeli forces have also detained 159 Palestinians during the implementation period of the agreement.
These breaches of the truce have occurred alongside the persistent prevention of trucks carrying food and humanitarian aid from entering, and the imposition of strict limitations on the movement of citizens into and out of the Gaza Strip.
Entry of Only 35 Percent of Agreed Aid
According to the Gaza Government Information Office, out of a total of 180,000 aid trucks that were supposed to enter the Gaza Strip by the 300th day of the truce, only 63,094 trucks have been permitted entry. Consequently, the Israeli regime’s adherence to its commitments regarding the entry of humanitarian aid has not exceeded 35 percent.
Preventing Travel for 61 Percent of Citizens
Since the agreement to reopen the Rafah border crossing, travel opportunities for 27,400 Palestinians were expected to be facilitated. However, the occupying regime has only allowed 10,703 individuals to travel. The rate of implementation of commitments concerning passenger traffic has been declared at 39 percent.
The Gaza Government Information Office strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s organized policy of targeting, killing, and destroying the Palestinian people, holding the regime fully responsible for the continuing deterioration of humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip. The office urged mediators and guarantor parties of the truce agreement to compel the Israeli regime to implement all provisions of the agreement and cease its ongoing violations.
