Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan Forge Defense Pact in Mecca

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan stated that the joint defense agreement signed in Mecca underscores the deep fraternal and strategic ties with Turkey and Pakistan. He emphasized that the Mecca agreement is designed to support a more secure regional environment that benefits the populations of all three nations.

Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman elaborated that the Mecca Joint Defense Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey establishes a framework for enduring defense collaboration. He added that this agreement will enhance deterrence, coordination, and integration, thereby supporting security and stability not only in the region but globally.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan highlighted that the joint defense agreement with Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will strengthen security and defense cooperation, as well as promote the development of the defense industry. He clarified that this pact does not target any specific country and is open to participation from nations committed to achieving stability in the region. Erdoğan reiterated Turkey’s firm commitment to resolving disputes and crises through dialogue and diplomacy, grounded in respect for international law.

Additionally, the Director of Communications for the Turkish Presidency commented that the Mecca agreement is not aimed at any particular nation but will contribute to bolstering collective security and deterrence.
