Pentagon Revokes Ex-Air Force Secretary’s Access to Classified Information Following Leak

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Pentagon has confirmed the revocation of former Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall’s access to classified information. Sean Parnell, a senior Pentagon spokesperson, stated that this measure is effective immediately and that Kendall will also be barred from holding any sensitive positions within the Department of Defense.

These actions were prompted by Kendall’s unauthorized disclosure of confidential information regarding the U.S. presidential aircraft, commonly known as Air Force One, to a media outlet. Parnell emphasized the critical need to protect classified information.

Previous news reports indicated that U.S. President Donald Trump opted to use an older presidential aircraft during his departure from Turkey en route to England, declining to board a jet gifted by Qatar. Additionally, Senator Jack Reed, a senior Democrat and member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, had previously warned that accepting the Boeing 747 aircraft donated by the Qatari government and utilizing it as the U.S. President’s dedicated plane would pose “serious threats” to the United States.
