Hezbollah Vows Fierce Defense of Ali Al-Taher Heights Amidst Escalating Conflict

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Hassan Ezz El-Deen, representing the Loyalty to Resistance bloc in the Lebanese Parliament, asserted in a radio interview that the confrontations in the Ali Al-Taher heights are an integral part of the wider war engulfing Southern Lebanon and the entire nation.
He explained that Ali Al-Taher is considered a key resistance position that will never be abandoned, and any act of aggression will be met with the full capabilities and resources of Hezbollah. “If Israel attacks these positions, the resistance will fulfill its national duty,” Ezz El-Deen declared.
The senior Hezbollah official further commented on Iran’s regional influence, stating that “Iran, through its steadfastness and resilience, projects a message of power and authority regionally. A strategic equation has been established concerning the southern suburbs of Beirut, and perhaps a new equation will be drawn regarding Ali Al-Taher.”.
Addressing a potential framework agreement, he noted that it would offer no benefit to Lebanon, describing it as a “stillborn agreement” that infringes upon Lebanese sovereignty and leads to humiliation, disgrace, insult, and weakness for the country. He added that “the people’s anger is persistent and continues, but its exploitation will occur at the appropriate time and context.”.
Ezz El-Deen criticized the current Lebanese government, stating that it lacks the resolve to confront the enemy or adequately arm and equip the Lebanese army for engagement with the Zionists. He characterized the government as weak, conspiratorial, and devoid of independent national will and decision-making.
The senior Hezbollah member elaborated on the strategic considerations of warfare, stating that decision-makers must account for all scenarios and possibilities. “Therefore, it is expected that the resistance will also be in complete readiness to face all eventualities,” he said.
Highlighting Benjamin Netanyahu’s objectives, Ezz El-Deen suggested that the Israeli Prime Minister is seeking electoral gains through the occupation of the Ali Al-Taher heights. He reiterated Hezbollah’s unwavering stance: “The resistance will never surrender, and the field realities of the war will determine its outcome.”.
Regarding the possibility of Hezbollah establishing relations with Abu Mohammed al-Julani, the head of the self-proclaimed Syrian regime, the senior Lebanese Hezbollah official stated that “Turkey is pursuing this plan, and after Hezbollah becomes aware of its details, it will make a decision accordingly.”
He also touched upon the positive atmosphere in Hezbollah-Turkish relations and addressed comments made by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the use of Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shar’a as leverage against the Lebanese resistance. Ezz El-Deen dismissed these as mere threats and pressure tactics, reaffirming Hezbollah’s clear stance on Syria. He concluded that the alignment of wills, assessments by the leaders of both parties, and the prevailing political conditions could lead to a meeting between them.
