Syria Demands Immediate Israeli Withdrawal, Condemns Airport Attack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Syrian Arab Republic has dispatched urgent letters to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the President of the Security Council, vehemently condemning an eight-stage Israeli airstrike on the Abu al-Duhur military airport. Syria characterized this action as an unjustified aggression and a blatant violation of its national sovereignty, aimed at undermining the security and stability of the region.
This aggression occurred despite previous attempts by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to justify the illegal attack with baseless claims of Turkish forces presence at the base. These assertions were firmly rejected by Ankara. Furthermore, media reports, including those from Fox News, suggest that this operation was conducted with intelligence coordination from Washington, though some American officials have expressed concerns about its escalatory consequences.
In its communications, the Syrian government emphasized that such provocative actions are taking place while Damascus is actively working to restore stability, combat terrorism, and fulfill its international commitments. Syria affirmed its legitimate right to self-defense and called upon the international community to adopt a decisive stance, compelling the Israeli regime to immediately cease its transgressions, implement the provisions of the 1974 Separation Agreement, and fully withdraw from all occupied territories, including the Golan Heights.
