U.S. Imposes New Sanctions on Iran, Targeting Individuals Linked to IRGC and Hezbollah

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Treasury Department has imposed new sanctions on individuals linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Hezbollah. This announcement was made based on data published by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.
The Treasury Department stated that Hezbollah has been included on this list due to its connections with the Iranian regime. The U.S. Treasury added that these sanctions target individuals involved in exchanging hundreds of millions of dollars between Lebanon, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Iran for the benefit of Hezbollah.
These new U.S. sanctions against Iran are being implemented following Washington’s military failures in its aggression against the country and its inability to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. The measures are reportedly aimed at covering up these failures.
