Fishing Material Explosion in Idlib, Syria, Claims Three Lives and Injures Six

An explosion involving fishing materials in a house in Idlib, Syria, has resulted in three civilian deaths and six injuries, including children. The blast occurred in the village of Ain Al-Qasab in the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an explosion occurred early Friday morning in a house located in the village of Ain Al-Qasab, situated in the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur city within the Idlib province of Syria. The blast tragically claimed the lives of three civilians and left six others injured, including several children. The official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported on the incident.

Earlier, news sources had reported hearing the sound of an explosion in the city of Jisr al-Shughur. However, updated information from the Syrian Civil Defense confirmed that the incident took place within a residential dwelling in Ain Al-Qasab village.

Ali Al-Lary, the director of the Jisr al-Shughur Operations Center within the Idlib Directorate of Emergency and Crisis Management, stated that Civil Defense teams responded immediately to the scene following the explosion. They initiated search and rescue operations and facilitated the transfer of the injured to medical facilities for treatment.

Al-Lary further added that preliminary investigations suggest the explosion was caused by materials used for fishing that were being stored inside the home.
