Hamas Hails West Bank Attack, Urges Continued Resistance Against Occupation
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas has welcomed a cold weapon attack near the village of Al-Auja, north of Jericho in the West Bank, which led to the injury of an Israeli settler. The perpetrator of the operation successfully retreated from the scene unharmed.
Hamas emphasized that this operation was conducted in response to the massacres and crimes perpetrated by the occupying regime and Israeli settlers in the West Bank and other Palestinian territories, as well as the increasing aggressions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The movement noted that the operation demonstrates that the Palestinian people, despite all repressive measures, pursuits, and intensified attacks against Palestinians, will continue to resist the occupation in all parts of Palestinian land.
Hamas concluded by calling on Palestinians in the West Bank and the occupied territories of 1948 to continue confronting the crimes of the Israeli regime and its settlers, and to engage them at all points of contact.
Earlier this morning, a Palestinian carried out a resistance operation with a cold weapon, attacking an Israeli settler at the entrance to the village of Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley, inflicting several blows. The settler was severely injured as a result of this brave action.
Following the operation, a large number of Israeli soldiers were deployed to the area and imposed a complete blockade. The Israeli military authorities confirmed the injury of the settler.
Mujahideen Movement: Resistance Will Continue as Long as Occupation Persists
The Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, in a statement released today, praised the courage and bravery of the individual who carried out this operation against the occupiers and settlers. The movement stated that the operation is part of the response to ongoing crimes and aggressions against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
The statement indicated that the continuation of operations in the West Bank confirms the failure of the occupiers’ security and military efforts to end the resistance or break the will of the Palestinian people. It affirmed that as long as the occupation continues, resistance will remain present and dynamic.
The Mujahideen Movement added that the escalating aggressions by the usurpers against Palestinians, their holy sites, and their lands are among the motivations for the continued confrontation in the West Bank and Jerusalem. The statement reiterated adherence to the path of resistance against the Zionist occupation and called on Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem to resist and stand firm against the occupiers and settlers.
