Iraqi Prime Minister Emphasizes Strong Ties with Friendly Nations

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydan met with a Libyan envoy in Baghdad, discussing strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between the two nations. The meeting underscored Iraq’s commitment to fostering robust foreign relationships with its allies.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaydan hosted Al-Taher Salem Al-Baour, envoy of the Libyan National Unity Government and acting head of the country’s Foreign Ministry, in Baghdad on Sunday. The meeting saw the delivery of a written message from Libyan Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh to Al-Zaydan.

The message stressed the significance of consolidating and enhancing the bilateral relationship between Iraq and Libya, expressing optimism for the third round of the joint committee meetings and support for mutual cooperation. It also extended an invitation to the Iraqi Prime Minister to visit Libya at the earliest opportunity, aimed at bolstering Arab countries’ joint efforts and sustaining coordination and consultation to harmonize views and positions within international forums concerning the challenges facing the Arab world.

The Iraqi Prime Minister affirmed Iraq’s determination to establish the strongest possible foreign relations with friendly and brotherly countries. He highlighted Iraq’s dedication to cooperation and cohesion in economic spheres to bolster capabilities, support sustainable development, and increase positive partnerships.
