China Urges Against Interference in Iran Ties Amid US Sanctions Threat

Beijing has stated that its cooperation with Tehran adheres to international law and should not be disrupted, as the United States escalates threats of further sanctions against Iran. China emphasized that sanctions and pressure do not resolve disputes and called for political and diplomatic solutions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has responded to U.S. threats of imposing additional sanctions on Iran, asserting that the country’s cooperation with Tehran is conducted in accordance with international law. Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stressed that such collaboration should not be interfered with or disrupted. China is closely monitoring developments and will take all necessary measures to safeguard its legitimate rights and interests.

On Friday, China also stated that U.S. sanctions and pressure will not resolve the conflict in West Asia. These remarks followed Washington’s recent call for countries, including Beijing, to join efforts to isolate Iran’s economy.

Lin Jian, spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responding to questions about threats from U.S. President Donald Trump, told reporters that sanctions and pressure would not help resolve the issue. He further added that China calls on all relevant parties to act responsibly and resolve problems solely through political and diplomatic means.
