Lebanese Parliament Speaker Predicts Significant Growth in Lebanon-Syria Relations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nabi Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, stated on Tuesday that he anticipates a substantial increase in the relationship between Lebanon and Syria in the upcoming phase. Berri commented that the “new Syria” is actively pursuing stability and aiming to resolve outstanding issues with its neighboring countries. He characterized his recent meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Baddar al-Shehani as candid and fruitful. The Lebanese Parliament Speaker further elaborated that Syria is seeking to close the chapter on past differences with Lebanon’s Shia community, drawing a parallel to how such issues were previously addressed with Iraq.
