Trump Claims US May Rename Lake Ontario, Cites Trade Tensions

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed on Tuesday that his administration is actively exploring the possibility of renaming Lake Ontario to “Lake America.” He further indicated that reduced trade with the Canadian province of Ontario is anticipated.
This development follows President Trump’s resumption of a trade war with Canada, which has involved the imposition of a 50% tariff on certain Canadian goods. Following the collapse of bilateral trade negotiations, the U.S. President has continued to threaten further measures.
Lake Ontario is one of the five Great Lakes situated along the border between the United States and Canada. Its name is shared with the Canadian province of Ontario.
This latest assertion comes shortly after recent remarks by the U.S. President regarding the Strait of Hormuz garnered significant attention, and he has now turned his focus to the potential renaming of a Canadian lake.
