Amur Petrochemical Plant Fire in Russia Leaves One Dead, Over 100 Injured

A fire at a gas petrochemical complex under construction in Russia’s Far East Amur region has resulted in one fatality and left over 100 individuals injured, according to officials.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, officials at the Amur Petrochemical Facility in Russia announced on Tuesday that a fire at a gas petrochemical complex currently under construction in the Amur region of Russia’s Far East has claimed one life. The incident also resulted in injuries to over 100 people.

The Russian Ministry of Health stated that 19 individuals have been hospitalized due to moderate to severe injuries. Initial findings suggest the fire originated in a secondary technical section of the pyrolysis unit.

The fire has since been contained.
