Trump’s Popularity Declines Sharply in 47 US States Ahead of Midterms

The report reveals that Trump’s net approval rating is negative in 47 of the 50 states, occurring just before the nation’s midterm congressional elections.

Furthermore, the report highlights that Trump’s net approval rating is negative in all states where Senate races are expected to be close and competitive this year. This situation unfolds amidst broader public sentiment shifts, as Reuters previously reported that support among Americans for continued conflict with Iran has fallen to its lowest point since the engagement began, decreasing to 31 percent. This figure stood at 37 percent in March and 34 percent earlier this month.

A joint survey conducted by Reuters and Ipsos attributed this decline to a noticeable drop in Republican support for the conflict. Among Trump’s supporters, only 69 percent currently favor continuing military operations, a decrease from 77 percent in March. Concurrently, President Trump reportedly fears the repercussions of these ongoing conflicts on his public image, with growing concerns about the prolonged nature of the engagement. A significant 83 percent of Americans believe the conflict will extend for a considerable duration.
