Russian Senator: US Sanctions Against Other Nations Will Lead to American Isolation

A senior Russian senator has warned that the United States’ persistent threats and sanctions against other countries will ultimately prove detrimental to its own interests, potentially leading to widespread international isolation.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing RIA Novosti via Mehr News Agency, Alexey Pushkov, a member of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council of Russia, stated that the United States’ constant threats directed at other nations will ultimately backfire. He highlighted the futility of President Trump’s threats to destroy Iranian civilization if the country did not yield, asserting that such approaches would inevitably worsen U.S. relations with numerous countries.

Many experts believe that sanctions operate like a boomerang, returning to harm the sanctioning countries themselves. This phenomenon can result in increased prices for energy, other goods, and services within those nations.
