According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, “Sabrina Singh”, the Deputy Spokesperson of the US Ministry of Defense said that since October 17th, the country’s bases in the West Asia region have been attacked by resistance groups 55 times.
Singh explained during a press conference at the Pentagon on Tuesday evening that 27 attacks on American bases in Iraq and 28 attacks on bases in Syria have occurred.
According to “Fox News” website, he also added that during these attacks, 59 American soldiers were injured, 27 of them have brain damage.
In response to a question about the US’s lack of reaction to the downing of the $30 million MQ-9 drone by the Yemeni armed forces, this Pentagon official also stated: “I am not saying that the lack of reaction will make the Houthis more aggressive. We have already seen it do this and shoot down another MQ-9. I’m not saying we’re not going to respond. We always reserve the right to respond at the time and place of our choice”. It is to the Gaza Strip, he added, “where [the war] remains.” “I think we’ve been very clear in our message about deterrence and we haven’t seen this conflict escalate.”
