Putin Orders Three-Day Halt to Kyiv Attacks Amid US Diplomatic Engagement

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a temporary halt to military operations in Kyiv for a period of three days. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced that this decision was made in anticipation of potential contacts and negotiations with the American side.

This development follows statements made by United States President Donald Trump, who indicated that his envoys would present a proposal to end the conflict in Ukraine during their visit to Moscow. Trump, however, did not disclose the specifics of this initiative.

President Putin had previously emphasized on Tuesday that Moscow remains open to dialogue with all parties interested in negotiations. He also stated that representatives of the U.S. President are always welcome guests and that the Kremlin is willing to cooperate with them.

Putin had also previously highlighted Russia’s readiness to resume discussions and address all details and issues that were raised during the Alaska talks in August 2025. Meanwhile, the special envoy of the U.S. President, who is also his son-in-law, has arrived in the Russian capital, Moscow, for consultations on peace in Ukraine.
